sender workitem

Hi everyone,
 
I was wondering how we can change the sender of a workitem.
I need this for the following case : 
Approval of PO releases happens wit hte portal. In the task list, there's a column which says 'from'. The client wxants to see here the name of the PO-creator. Is there someone who knows how to invoke this ?
