Event Container to WF Container block

This is one I've never seen before.  I am raising the event for a custom business object using the WAPI fm.  The event is raised and the  workflow starts properly, but NONE of the event container values are coming across.  I even created an addition simple parameter for the event and it is not being received by the workflow container.
 
Anyone out there got any thoughts about this?
