UWL: Due Date and Forwarding

Hi,
    I have two UWL questions I have not been able to find answers to:

1.  How can I make use of the due date column for latest end or latest
start for a task?  Is there a link between the task deadlines and the
due date or is this only used for ad-hoc tasks created via the UWL?

2.  How can I disable forwarding via the config or the uwl.standard.xml
file?

We are on EP6 SP17 with a 4.6 system.
