Margaret,

There is a Live Expert Session for E-R 3.0 workflow that I found very
helpful. However, it's 15 MB so I don't want to attach it here and have
the others on the list screaming. Shoot me an email at
alexis.collins at Halliburton.com and I'll send it to you.

Alexis

Alexis,

Thanks for the hints. I'll check them out.

Do you by chance know of an installation guide or other documentation
that describes this configuration?

~Margaret

	Hi Margaret,

I understand your frustrations as I went through them as well.
However, since you need to enter the host and port specific to your
environment, this config can't be delivered by SAP.

There are several transactions/tables that need to be
maintained... are you sure your issue is related to WF_EXTSRV?
Following is a list of things I had to maintain in each client to get
the approval task working:

	      - table TWPURLSVR

	      - table SWLWPTSSID

	      - trxn SWR_WEBSERVER

	      - trxn WF_HANDCUST

	      - trxn WF_EXTSRV

	I hope this helps,

	Alexis

	Subject: WF_EXTSRV in E-recruiting 3.0 - should config be
required forSAP-delivered WF?

	Hello WUGers,

	We are implementing E-Recruiting 3.0 on a WAS 640. I am having
problems with the requisition approval workflow (WS51800008) as
delivered. I performed some additional configuration according to
instructions in SAP Note 746709, but I'm a bit stumped on the WF_EXTSRV
settings. (I have been to 3 workflow courses but not, sadly, the one I
apparently need for this; and the SAP Note is not very descriptive of
how to apply the WF_EXTSRV transaction).

I started to send a detailed description of settings I tried and
whatnot, but then I had this thought: shouldn't WF_EXTSRV have been
configured correctly out of the box? We are just trying to activate and
test a SAP-delivered workflow!

I have already spent some time searching OSS, and didn't find
anything more helpful than 746709, and that one doesn't seem to be
addressing our problem precisely.

So my first question is just this: should I put in an OSS
message? Or is it normal to have to configure WF_EXTSRV for a
SAP-delivered workflow? If so, are there tutorials or examples
somewhere that will help me understand the SAP Help for this a little
better?

I'll be happy to send the excruciating details of the problem if
anyone wants them....but I thought I should first get a read on whether
this is more properly a question for OSS.

	Thanks!
