FM or Report to execute work item outside workflow environment

...asked and answered yesterday in fact. Now added to the FAQ.

In workflow menu, you will find 'Administration'. Follow this and there is
'Workflow Runtime'. In there, there's something titled 'Execute Work Item
without Agent Check'. Transaction SWIA.
