How to execute a Missing deadline workitem...

Hi All,

  Please write to me, how to execute a missing deadline workitem.

  Note: When I tried to execute the workitem, it shows a screen where the menu option "Set to Done" is disabled. Please write to me whether there is any authorization involved to execute the same.
