Subsequent Step of Wait for Event Step is not executing

We're on 4.6C and I can't say I have noticed this behaviour, but of course we are most likely not on the same support package etc. However, it sounds real strange, and I have several workflows with background action steps after wait for event steps. I have never seen a problem like the one you describe.

In particular I have a workflow that I checked just now where I have a 4-branch fork with a wait for event and a following background action step (and then a create event) where the fork needs to complete one branch. No problem.

It may be that I haven't interpreted what's written quite correct. Maybe Paul's solution is a little different, it is the event receiver that completes the fork and the action step follows the fork no matter what completes it. However, it sounds *really* strange that this should be a problem. When, in addition, the development and production systems don't have the problem it is even more unlikely that the problem is caused by the flow definition.

Is there absolutely no additional information in the log? All green lights?

	Raul,

I've encountered this before and have come to the conclusion that you cannot have an executable step after a Wait for Event step. It was strange because sometimes the executable step would work and most of the time it didn't. That was on a 4.6C system. I now make it a point to use a Container Operation step and then use a Condition step after the end of the fork.

	We are in 4.7.

In our Q system, the subsequent tasks of the Wait for Event step do not execute after the subscribed event is triggered. I verified that the event was triggered in SWEL and on the WF instance log itself but the next steps (usually a background task) do not execute. The Wait for Event step is usually in a fork whose end condition is defined to have just one necessary condition.

Our DEV and PRD systems do not have this anomaly.

Did anyone encountered this problem before?

	Thank you,

	Raul
