Task For requisition release workflow

Hi All,

For Purchase requisition release workflow, (WS00000038) , step for
requisition release has priority as medium.

Requirement is that express message needs to be sent to user indicating
work item is received in SAP inbox.

For this just wanted to get concurrence that I have to change the
priority of this step (corresponding to std task TS00007986) using
template configuration and not by changing the step priority directly in
STD workflow template..
Let me know whether I am on right direction.
