Markus, Sue,

Attached is the document that has some more information about setting up
WF_EXTSRV. It has some basic details that I am sure you are well aware
of but it was prepared for a non-wfer.

Hello,

what would the transaction BDLSS actually do? When i call the
transaction and define parameters i can select tables for which the
converions should be performed. I presume i just have to enter the table
you mentioned: SWLWPSSID. So am i wrong when i think this conversion
does just edit the logical system of this table? Cant i just use the
simple se11 /n method to change the logical system?

regards,

Markus

Markus,

You could change URL directly in the system via WF_EXTSRV or use SM30
and maintain table SWLWPSSIG (same thing). You should be using system
aliases so even if the system is moved to a different server, your
system name will remain the same. I don't know how this setting would
be updated automatically.

You can also create your logical systems in test and prod to include dev
system and then use transaction BDLSS to perform conversion.

Hello all,

for each service in this transaction you have to define a server/port
where the called application is running on. Entering a server url is
fine for testing, but how do i get it dynamically so it does work in the
development system as well as in the test and productive system where
the server url/Port is different?

regards,

Markus
