Sending Internet mail from workflow in 4.6c - I am so confused.

Obviously I'm anything but the expert, but my take from resolving my question with the help of the good folks here, is that you should be fine with what you are doing.

I evidently had a couple different config problems in my setup that were causing my difficulties.  Once I fixed those, everything seems to be just fine.

I appreciate that the conversation has moved on, but I want to clarify a
point made early on: The fact that the comm type was 'INT' and - partially
as a result of using CUA - it could not be changed.

We are using 4.6C and CUA. We have been making sure that a user's comm type
is set up as 'SMTP' and that their full email address was included. We were
told to do this so as to make sure that the emails were delivered, but is
there some potential consequence of having defined this setting?

Also, I find transaction SOST pretty useful whilst trying to identify email
problems.
