Regarding sending mail to external address

Hi,
 
what we do in our project is to always send to an SAP user ID. If the user want to redirect the emaiol to and external email, he set the forwading in the sap business workplace with the menu option 
settings-->office settings, "automatic forwarding" tab.
 
if the receiver is an unit or a group mail box, we create a dummy SAP user and set the external group email to it.

	Hi All,
	 One basic question related to this... (at this time, when I want to rush home, do not have enthusiasm to go into archives and find out the relevant info.. )
	 
	For sending mail to external mail address, whether sending it to particular SAP id is sufficient if his e-mail ID is maintained in his user information?
	Whether system will automatically forward the notification sent to SAP user to his email address in this case or we will have to mention his e-mail address specifically in send mail step?
