Inconsistent work item - becaue of Change in Structure of a parameter

Hello All,

We have a problem with some inconsistent work items , the problem is as
below :

1) There was a change to the structure of the table which is a parameter in
the work flow. The length of  a field has been changed in the structure. (
e.g S1 structure with fields f1,f2,f3  size of f2 is changed )

2) When the change is transported , because of some inconsistency, the work
flow container shows the structure without the field itself.( i.e. In the
work item container the structure S1 is shown with f1,f3. There is no f2
field at all)

3) Because of this the further steps could not be executed , saying the
structures are incompatible. In this case these steps are referring to the
changed structure, but the work item container has a corruptes structure )

Is there anyway to make work items consistent..?

I have tried calling back the work flow ( FM : SWP_WI_CALLBACK_RECOVER ) ,
to make the work item start from the first step, but i dont think this is
solving the problem.

We are in 4.6 c
