Send mail task not working for multiple e-mail ids

Hello all,

I have issues with send mail task in the workflow. I used this step at
different clients on different versions but never had problems with it. I am
not sure what seems to be going wrong here.

This is a very basic scenario of sending e-mails from workflow.
Scenario A: Created 'Send Mail' step within workflow . Recipient type
'E-mail address ; for E-mail address: I assign BUS object attribute which
contains several e-mails. For binding I pass BUS attribute with multiple
e-mails to Addressstrings, BUS object mapped to task WI object. Binding
check is fine but workflow ends with an error

"Work item 000001787176: Object 000001787176 method SWW_BI_EXECUTE_S cannot
be executed". The same 'Send task" works for single e-mail though.



Scenario B: Created a task with a method to send e-mail (the old way), when
I run the method online it works just fine and sends e-mail to all from the
object attribute. The same method within the task which is marked as
'background' does not work. I thought may be WF-BATCH is an issue. Wrote a
small program which submits the method in the background with user =
WF-BATCH  then it works. Alternately, I put the code as part of approval
step which is a 'dialogue' then it works fine too.



Question: why is "send Mail' for multiple e-mails dos not work in batch?
