Hi Anna and Sherie,

Thanks for your inputs.

Your point 2 resolved my one of the problems of editing doc template.

However, point 1 is not solved even though saving of WF template once
container elements are created and then accessing the step.
I'll search for OSS notes as you have suggested. Pls let me know if you
get something abt the same.

Hi Akshay

1.	The container elements available to you for linking into the
document template should not be restricted in any way to my knowledge.
If you are not seeing your elements, try the following:

	a.	Ensure you have saved the workflow template after
creating any new container elements and before you go into the step
	b.	Re-create the container element again and test whether
you can see it
	c.	Check on OSS to see if there are any notes relating to
the problem

2.	Once you have saved the doc from template step after the initial
creation, go into the step and double click on the template listed under
'Doc Template(s) available in workflow'. Beware - there are sometimes
some bugs in this area, so you may not see it first time. If it's not
there, go out of the workflow builder and then back in again. Double
clicking on the entry should pull up your word/excel/whatever document
template. If, however, you want a user to edit the document as part of
the workflow process, look at the tasks in task group TG 71000004 and
there's on in there to edit.

Good luck!

Subject: Step Document from Template

Hi All,

This may be a very basic question, but as I could not find the answer,
so thought of seeking guidance from you all....

I have created a step for "document from template" in a workflow for
word document and have defined links for the fields so that the values
from BOR object are available in word document created as a result of
this step.

Now I have 2 questions:

1. Is there any restriction on which type of container elements are seen
while linking WF data in document from template? To explain a bit, I am
not able to see any other custom container elements ( say If I have
created one, as a multiline element which will be used inside workflow)
for linking when I am creating document for template.

I am only able to see Main BOR object as container elements and other
std elements such as _WorkItem etc.

2. How do I access this template If I want to change the linking and may
be add some more details to this template? I could not find the way for
editing the document- template.

Thanks in advance.

Akshay Bhagwat
