Triggering SAP SRM4.0 Workflow from Online Form in EP6.0

Hello All,
I have a requirement to build an online form in the Netweaver Portal 6.0 SP13 that would trigger a workflow in the SRM4.0/EBP5.0.
The form would have a Save/Submit button that would trigger the required Approval Workflow when executed. 
I'd appreciate any contribution that would help with this scenario.
