task to send e-mail does not send anything

Hi all,
I know it is a bit embarrassing but I try desparately to send an e-mail out
of my work flow. 
I assigned directly an internet user id. 
The WF-batch user has a return e-mail address,
My user has a return e-mail address.

Transaction Scot does not even show my e-mail.

It is the first task in my workflow and does not take off.

Perhaps I am missing something silly.

Sorry to ask a so basic question. 

Any help is appreciated.
