HR Worklfow

Josie,

I am trying something similar and think the business object bus1065 does the
trick. A good colleague of mine helped by showing the following process to
find the right object:
Switch on the workflow trace with transaction 'SWELS' and then start your
transaction and process what you want to do. Then go to transaction 'SWEL'
and check what objects have been started. We found several ones but I think
bus1065 fits the task.

You consultant is not wrong what he said about the T77* tables and they need
to be checked.

The T777IBO carries the allows business object type (BUS1065 or others) for
the PD object type (S - Position or P Person) and the relevant info type. So
you will find for P (person) and info type 0001 the business object bus1065.

I tried before the S object type which is not necessarily wrong but a bit
too early, since it talks only about the position and not the person. So I
am now trying bus1065 and it looks good.

I hope it is not too complex and I am not saying too much wrong, since I am
not a workflow specialist but I think it is a good trace.

But your approach is not necessarily wrong and would be started, if
programmed correctly only by pa30 and pa40( since pa20 is display only) and
should do the trick (off course it should be in the pai user exit.

There are always more than one way to do it.

Best Reg. Klaus

check the event associated with the workflow... you
can use another existing event and call the same wf.

I'm developing my first WF by myself and its an HR WF.
It's a Position Change WF. I need the WF to be
started everytime they change a position of an
employee.

The solution that I found is to put an User-exit at
PA30/PA40 and call the event to start the WF, but the
HR Functional doesn't want it this way because this
process may be started by many transactions. He said
that in anothe Project they inserted some Logical
Function Codes (Activities) for some Subinfotypes to
"map" the transactions that might me used. He's shown
me the T77FLC and T777IBO tables where the changes
must be made. He also said that the object should be
PD_1001.

I copie the WF Model 01200145 and copied its object.
But I have no idea of how to start this WF. Can anyone
help me?

Thanks in Advance
