BUS1001006.CREATED triggering point?

hi all,
 
implementing a workflow for material creation/approval, I cannot seem to find out where excactly the event BUS1001006.CREATED is triggered. I've looked in SWEC, NACE etc. I am guessing it is coded somewhere in the MM01 program code?
Anyway I'd like to be sure that it is triggered every time I need it to, hence it would be nice knowing where/when it's done...
