Workflow and Object attachments via Generic Object Services

Thanks for the input.  As I replied to Larry, my requirement is more opposite of what you're suggesting - the doc is attached outside of workflow, and I want to be able to see it in a workflow triggered later.

But, it looks like the anticipated requirement that spurred my question is going away, so I'll just file this away for future reference.  It may yet come in handy. ;-)

Hi Margaret,

I had a requirement to capture a 'rejection reason' and bind it as an attachment into the workflow. 
  It is visible via GOS, but only via the Workflow Log.  So I don't know it that helps you much.

I used the FM SWL_WI_NOTE_CREATE, passing in the Workitem ID.

But then again, that was in the old R/3 days :)
