Escalation & sending external Mail (outlook)

hi gopi,
I hope we can do customizatons in SWU3 to remind the
user. Once he log on into SAP,He will see a pop up box
about the work items in box.

SWU3-> choose Maintain Additional Settings and HR objs
<execute> in first tab just uncheck 'no notifications'
and choose ur company calendar..this will be done only
on working days.

but be care full before you change it..
I hope our WF gurus will guide you on this..this is
just my idea..

about your second issue..
we have some function modules..i dont remember..to
send a mail to out look..

all the best do all ground work before u
implement..all the best.
