UWL iview

Hi all,
 I know this is a portal question, still just hoping people would know any 
hint on this.
 I could see an parameter in the default UWL Iview  "List of UWL Actions to 
exclude" 
does any one knows how to use this parameter field? is this field can be 
used to choose the buttons needed in UWL screen?
 I was wondering if this works then I need not change the UWL XML and every 
time upload the content.
