rswwdhex - job gets cancelled due to locking issue

Yes WF-BATCH is ok to use as the executor of the job. But any batch
user with SAP_ALL, SAP_NEW is fine.
A separate batch user has some advantages in avoiding confusion between
housekeeping jobs and other background processes
when troubleshooting, that's all.

I have set up both the SWWDHEX and SWWERRE jobs to run as WF-BATCH to
make sure authorizations are not an issue. Got tired of fighting with
the security people...

Opinions anyone?

FYI: As an urgent fix, our security gave me momentary access to SWWB,
and I ran it as a WF admin. The problem was fixed right away. What our
Basis team did was to move the two jobs further apart. Ours is 4.6C.

I noticed if I (as WF Admin with not SAP_ALL / SAP_NEW) run SWWB
then I get two instances running. Once from me starting it and one
from our BASIS folks running. Does not stop other instances from
running.

If you look at the program there is references to this issues about
multiple instances running. How and who is scheduling RSWWDHEX?

I would have BASIS kill all scheduled instances and have BASIS
create the batch run and call it a day.

I would like to know what you do to get this issue resolved.

Hi Sue,
You've definitely got two schedules running. Get rid of ALL deadline
monitoring jobs and then schedule one job & you should be OK.
Cheers
Mike
