UWL date & time

We had this issue at our site and it mysteriously fixed itself. Out BASIS
team did however spend a bit of time investigating it and determined that
the problem is with the time zone associated with the user in R3 (SU01).

You may also ned to look at the locale/time zones associated with Internet
explorer or the servers as well !!!

The error may give itself away in the following log files
Look for any errors that indicate a problem

identifying or interpreting the time zone in the following log/trc files..

Output log and trace file are written to "uwl_defaultLog.log.0" and

"uwl_defaultTrace.trc.0" respectively under the portal directory

"usr\sap\<version>\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\log\applications\sap.

com\uwl"

In our case AUSWA defined in R/3 was not recognised as a valid timezone by
java.

Peter Carroll

In looking at this more closely, the UWL is consistently showing work items
14.5 hours behind the actual time.

Example: July 8th 9:28AM displays as July 7th 6:58PM

I have verified that the function SWK_LOCAL_INBOX_GET returns the correct
date and time.

Thanks for your help!

Alexis,

Can you tell us in what way it is not correct? Is it an exact number of
hours, or a few minutes... can you give an actual example?

Cheers,
Darren

Just curious if anyone has had this problem...

We recently upgraded to NW04, and ever since then, the date and time
displayed on the UWL for work items is not correct. The portal guys say it
must be an issue on the R/3 side, but the date and time is correct in the
R/3 inbox. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
