UWL annoyance: transaction's message isn't displayed

Greetings all, 
When executing tasks that call a transaction through the UWL, it terminates
with a message: 
Work item executed (new processing status: "Completed")

This is far less informative to our users than, say 'Purchase order 450002342
created' or whatever else the transaction usually gives back to the user when
it's finished. My guess so far is that the WinGUI running under the UWL detects
the end of transaction and displays it's own message on top of whatever the txn
would show. 

Has anyone done battle with this beast? Any ideas welcome.....
