Ramki,

Sorry for the delay - this one has been on the backburner for a while as intriguingly the NW04s still mentions this
wizard but its definitely not there.

Basically ad hoc agent assignment gives you everything even the people picker but you need to have the relevant
authorities and view - i.e. only the user who started the workflow can change the agent and they do that from the
Started Workflows list in the SBWP Outbox using a special "Choose Agent" icon (two people overlaid and a cross).

We do let other users change it in SRM but SRM has special coding/java applets to handle this.

Ad hoc agent assignment gives you (among others) the methods on business object AAGENT and its subtypes...

Create - where you default the agents
Append - allows you to add a new agent to the agent list

and the attribute
Agents - with the list of currently assigned agents

The business object WF_TASK.AllAgentsofTask gives you the list of all possible agents

So all the building blocks are there - just not the little dialog box to display and select the agents

But you can still continue on the old way if you want to - just use task TS30200146 as your people picker
or else create your own people picker.

You could always use the WF_TASK method as your people picker and then feed the chosen people into your more
flexible ad hoc agent object using the Append method.

Jocelyn,

The doco on ad hoc agent assignment says only the WF initiators can choose the ad hoc agent while starting a workflow or during the flow for the WFs started by them from their outbox (for those steps that have been identified for ad hoc assignment). On the other hand the Choose Agent wizard inserts a dialog step which allows its agent (not necessarily the initiator) to choose agents for a subsequent step from the task's possible agents. Is it possible to achieve the later with ad hoc agent assignment?

Can't confirm it but could give you a possible reason why.... ad hoc agent assignment basically makes the Choose Agent scenario obsolete.

 Hi All,

Can anybody confirm that the Include "Choose Agent" wizard is not available in the Workflow Builder in the ECC 5.0 release? I was trying to walk someone through on the phone and was told that it was not available. Ended up manually inserting the task and bindings.
