FYI - WF-BATCH and Time Zones

Hello (again, after my holidays are sadly over).

We are on 4.6C still, but could you elaborate a little on what "nasty
things" you have observed? I checked our system, and WF-BATCH does have
CET as time zone.

We don't use a lot of deadlines, and I believe they are all modelled (no
simple notifications), but it has never occurred to me that deadlines
would be influenced by a time zone setting. I have assumed that
deadlines were calculated from simple time calculations - and most
likely using UTC since I think that is what is stored in the database.

G'day Wuggers,

I thought I'd share this little gem with you - don't put a time zone
setting against the WF-BATCH user master.

I'm not sure who did it or why but it does nasty things to deadline
entries. A time zone setting against a dialog user doesn't seem to do
anything terrible, but one against WF-BATCH does.

At least it does for Requested Start related steps generated after a
background step in a 620 system.

Just sharing the love.

Have fun,
Mark
