Executing a report from within a decision statement.

Hi all,
I have created an approval workflow and need to allow the user to
run a report from within the decision statement. I want the report to open
in a separate
window. This report will allow them to view additional data in order to
make the final
approval decision. Has anyone tried this and if so how did you do it ?
