Container element for loop index?

Hi everyone,
 
Is there a container element for a workflow task that contains the index
when there is a loop? For example, we need to do a task everyday that
queries a table until a data condition is reached. To ensure that this is
not an infinite loop, we need to terminate the loop if it executes more than
16 times. Is this index value accessible somewhere in the workflow? I
searched thru all the standard container elements for the task and I don't
see the index value when I'm testing.
