Webtransaction and format DATS

I have created a webtransation with an input field type DATS. With this =
screen, a user has to enter a followupdate and this date is used in the =
workflow for earliest-start-deadline.

The format DATS is a special format. When displayed, it is CHAR10, when =
stored it is CHAR8. This is because of the dots (08.09.2004). The =
conversion / truncation of this format to YYYYMMDD is done in the =
background by SAP. However, somehow this is not done back in =
webtransactions. The field is transfered from a CAHR10 (08.09.2004) to a =
CHAR8 format (08.09.20). I now have a workaround build in the =
webtransaction which stores the date in a Ztable after input by the =
agent...

Does anyone ever had this similar problem or does anyone know the =
solution?? (It took me 2 days to test and debug this and the result is =
this d*mn Ztable...)
