Hello Angie,
 
Try to instantiate the object which cannot be displayed with swo1,
object system method genericinstantiate. Fill the key in field OBJECTKEY
and the objectname in OBJECTTYPE.=20
 
Then check if you can display your object. If everything is fine,
something has to be wrong with the task or the container elements. Try
to create a new task (to which you attach your object). Are there really
no syslog/tracefile entriese, are you really sure??
 
If all of this does not work, you probably have to debug the whole
thing.=20

All authorizations are settled. =20
 
The problem is with a totally custom object.  Through SW01 everything
works fine, all attributes and methods run fine.

Are you sure all authorization issues are settled? The other objects
might e.g. still need some rfc authorization! Try to open the objects
with a user that holds the sap_all profile just to be sure.=20
 
What objects are you talking about, is it all objects which cannot be
displayed or just particular objects? What happens if you instanciate
this objects using the same key with swo1, can you use the methods and
see everything?=20
 
If it is not an authorization issue, syslog sm21 or trace files st11
(e.g dev_rfc) might give you additional information.    =20

That worked for the text attachment, however the object still does not
display....any other suggestions?

I had the same problem before it was an authorization Issue (Object
s_code with value SWO_ASYNC). Just check su53 if there is any problem=20

attachment (which is under the objects and attachments header), however,
