No - not unless you swap to using the XML container in the basic data of your workflow.
Ain't broke ... don't fix.

Subject: New Receiver SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT_IBF in 6.20

Greetings,

In our development system upgraded from 4.6c to 6.20,
I noticed that the event linkage table uses a new
receiver function for a triggering event
:SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT_IBF. In 4.6c the function was
SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT. The interfaces of the two
functions are quite different. The new function has
logic to "transform XML container into container
handle", while the old function "transform BOR
container to handle".

I had to modify our trip approval workflows because
SAP has made the event CREATED obsolete and replaced
it with REQUESTCREATED. The entry in the event
linkages for REQUESTCREATED uses the new receiver
.._IBF. The linkages for other events e.g. REQUESTED
 use the older receiver.

I have not noticed any runtime issues with event
linkages and my workflows have started correctly.
However, I am wondering if I should change the
receiver of all active linkages to the new function.
Am I losing any functionality by using the old
receiver in 6.20 or later releases?

Thanks in advance for your response.
