Condition Editor

Hi friends,
 
I have the following question:
In container I have a multiline element TABLE with one line content 'ABCD'
(field is CHAR 10)
In condition editor I use:
&TABLE CE A
It gives FALSE back.
I would like to prove if the Table element begins with substring A.
How should I formulate this conditition ?
