Background step to set a project system status

Might be worth looking at Interface IFSTATUS. Can't say I've used it, but

Hello,
I need to create a background step which set's a system status for a
project definition.
It is mainly used to set the status TECO for the project, I need the step
to do the same thing as when setting status TECO in the PS (CJ20N),
which means setting the status TECO to all entities in the project's
hierarchy (Project definition, WBSs, Networks...  ).
 
Does anyone know a BAPI or a standard function\method that does such a
thing ?
