Role using authorization

Dear all,

Here is something I was contemplating and would like your opinion on:

I have created a responsibility role that selects the agent based on
purchasing group. The role links responsibilities to positions and
therefore depends on the correct linking of position and user id. From a
technical point of view, it works fine; the tasks go to the right agent
as long as the organizational. Structure is maintained correctly.
However, we have authorization profiles that link 1:1 to the different
purchase groups. Wouldn't it be nice if the workflow task would
determine the purchase group, then the correct authorization profile and
then send the task to all users assigned to this authorization profile?
If would basically make redundant the whole org.struct. maintenance.

I have searched for standard solutions but without success, so I think I
should start programming my own role.
Am I correct or are there other options?

p.s.
It should work 'out of the box' if my workflow task could be send to
all possible agents of the task (link authorization roles to workflow
tasks) but in my case that wouldn't work because it should go to one
specific possible agent based on the purchasing group (we have approx.
50 purchase groups so creating a separate task for every PG does not
seem a feasible solution)

Regards,
