Workflow in the CRM Web Client

Has anyone out there got any experience of using workflow in the CRM Web Client? (I am not talking about portals or ITS here by they way). Does it work in the same way as the SAPGUI environment? what are the design limitations? does it effect how you code your object methods? Unfortunately, I don't currently have access to a CRM web client system in which I can do any prototyping so any help would be appreciated.
