Business Object Program Editor in Compressed mode?

All;
After a kernal upgrade to a Enterprise system, the editor is the swo1
transaction acts like it is stuck in compressed mode.  I checked the menu
path from within Settings -> Editor Mode and made sure the  without
compression button is selected.  The kernal details: Kernel Patch number
(dsip+work) = 1559, OS = AIX 5.1, 64 Bit Kernel
