Roman,

 Hi!

Thanks for the help but could you be more specific:(1) Please intimate
me the profile/role name I need to give myself additionally to the ones
described below. (2) I don't understand -(your user has to be assigned
to the "user group for author. Check" named "SUPER" (this is described
in the documentation of the rfc creating
Task in the "auto customizing")-I did not see any documentation
mentioning this.

In fact the SAP help for the customizing activity -Workflow RFC
destination configuration- mentions as below:
-The workflow runtime system only operates within one client; by
assigning a name to the logical destination, the system-wide uniqueness
of the logical destination is ensured. (I am doing the same -creating
one each for individual clients)
-The logical RFC destination "WORKFLOW_LOCAL_xxx" is created
automatically (RFC destination WORKFLOW_LOCAL_xxx is already
created in my system (before auto customizing & individual test of the
same is ok.)
-Specify the background user WF-BATCH, which must have been created in
the current client. (Further recommendation from SAP in SAP help
regarding this....):
Create a user with the name WF-BATCH.

Create this user with the user type System.

Assign this user the authorization profiles "SAP_ALL" and "SAP_NEW".

Maintain the user address for this user.

(I have tried this one & it works but I want to use the
-standard-practice in this.

I am not transporting any workflow customizing between clients. I am
carrying them out in individual clients. We are in the process of
upgrading from 3.1H to 4.6C. This message pertains to 4.6C.

I also referred to the Practical workflow book but some of the steps
mentioned there are not the same as per the SAP recommendations. Can
anyone guide me through clear/precise steps with this???

 Please guide ASAP.

 Regards,

 Rajiv Kane

hi,

i know similar problems after client copies. the workflowcustomizing
should not be transportet between clients and different r/3 instances as
the workflow needs its own rfc destination in each client (furthermore
the
generated wf-batch password seems to use client depending data so you
can't transport its user account). try creating the rfc destination
again.
Its name has to be WORKFLOW_LOCAL_XYZ with XYZ being the number of the
client. to do this you need sth. additional to the authorizations listed
below. your user has to be assigned to the "user group for author.
check"
named "SUPER" (this is described in th documentation of the rfc creating
task in the "auto customizing"). this parameter is set on the second
tabstrib in su01.

start the auto customizing again after changing the rfc destination.

rgds.

hi!

I am trying to carry out the "Auto customizing" in an another client
then the previous message. I am having all the authorizations -
SAP_ALL/SAP_NEW/SAP_BC_BMT_WFM_ADMIN/SAP_BC_BMT_WFM_CONTROLLER/SAP_BC_BM
T_WFM_DEVELOPER/S_WF_ALL/S_WF_PROCORG.

After carrying out the "Auto customizing" all other messages are
coming ok but the following message is confusing :

Auto customizing log for runtime system
Auto-Customizing: RFC destination
         I SR:023 Destination WORKFLOW_LOCAL_010 already exists
         I 01:102 User WF-BATCH created
RFC password must be synchronized.

The workflow "runtime" system is shown as "customizing
incomplete"-there is an indication that the "User for workflow RFC
destination does not exist" step is still balance. Why this is required?
If the authorizations are correct than "auto customizing" should take
care of WF-BATCH & It should also synchronize the password.

Further to this the message indicates that the user "WF-BATCH" is
created but why checking through "su01" no such user is found.

 Please guide ASAP.
