SAP SRM with either the SAP Portal vs the Broadvision Portal

I have a question regarding SAP SRM and what value SAP Portals brings to the
table over Broadvisions portal product.
 
My client has just purchased SAP SRM that included SAP Portals and BW. The
business would like to use the SAP Portal but they need to be able to
justify its use over the Broadvision portal. How does the standard SAP
portal functionality enhance the SAP SRM functionality that wouldn't  be
available out of the box if they had to use the Broadvision portal? Also,
any other issues one may encounter not using SAP's Portal.
 
The current landscape is SAP 46C using Outlook as the corporate inbox.
