Today, a basis colleague asked me about possibly using RSSOMOVE to reorgani=
ze inboxes (we have some users with tons of items in their inboxes, possibl=
y due to automatic forwarding to their Outlook e-mail accounts with "Also p=
lace in inbox" checked). I mentioned that his question seemed similar to y=
ours, and he sent me the following information. Hope it helps; if so, I ca=
n't take any credit!

Enjoy,
David

This report seems to address clean up of inbox items that are regular users=
 cannot access:
Here is the text from the attached note on what it can do:
It is possible to send notifications within a workflow as regular mail. The=
se mails are stored in a special folder that no user can access. If this wo=
rkflow function is used extensively, the folder table (SOFM) may increases.=
 In addition the SAPofficereorg does not delete the tables (SOC3, SOOS, SAD=
RU and so on) beloging to the mails as long as another entry exists in this=
 special folder.
Here is what SAP suggests we do with Workflow reorg:
=20
* ? Start the report specified in the corrections once a year, so th=
at the mails are removed from the folder.
=20
* ? Then start the SAPoffice reorganization programs.
=20
* ? This should be done periodically.
=20
May be we should run both.

SAP Note Number: 131031=20
SAPoffice: Deleting of workflow notifications

Version: 3, Note Language: EN, Released on: 10.06.1999

Symptom
It is possible to send notifications within a workflow as regular mail. The=
se mails are stored in a special folder that no user can access. If this wo=
rkflow function is used extensively, the folder table (SOFM) may increases.=
 In addition the SAPofficereorg does not delete the tables (SOC3, SOOS, SAD=
RU and so on) beloging to the mails as long as another entry exists in this=
 special folder.
Additional key words
Workflow, notifications, SOOS, SOER, SOES, SADRU, SADR3, tablespace
Cause and prerequisites
There is not a defined event, when these mails expire.
Solution
Start the report specified in the corrections once a year, so that the mail=
s are removed from the folder.
Then start the SAPoffice reorganization programs.
This should be done periodically.
Report RSSODLWF is contained in the standard system as of Release 4.6A.
Parameters of the report:
* WF_BATCH
            User who sends these mails in the workflow. At present the user=
 is proposed who is defined in the workflow. Thus in general do not change =
anything.
* YEAR
            The year for which the report is to be processed. The last year=
 is proposed, but this can be changed as desired.
* TP
            Document type of the mails. In general it is the type RAW, thus=
, do not change anything.
* Test
            This flag indicates whether the deletion is actually to be carr=
ied out. If the flag is set to 'X', it is output how many records would hav=
e been deleted. The actual deletion commands to the database are not commit=
ted. For the productive run set this flag to space!=20
You require N*40 byte main memory for the report, where N is the number of =
the mails to be deleted. For 1 million records you would thus require appro=
x. 40MB main memo
