Hi Ute,
You're in Luck, this is relatively standard so far, provided your EDI
middleware/partner systems are properly set up. There are three levels of
recipients, EDI will always try to resolve to the lowest first and move u=
p
the chain if things don't work:
1) WE20 - Partner Profiles: Each Partner/Message type combination has it'=
s
own agent. This is usually a business case in a stable system (a little
training to tell users to forward any gobbledygook to a techie does the
trick for the odd exception).
2) still WE20: Partner Profile. This is where it tends to get more
technical. Depends on scenario you'd have a super user or techie in here.
3) WE46 if it can't even pick up who/where that's generally a definite
tech problem, send to EDI administrator.

It gets a bit more involved, you can start replacing SAP standard tasks
with your own etc. but that's where your EDI specialist should be able to
help you out.... in theory.

Cheers
Mike
