workflow vs EMMA (IS-U-TO-MMA Monitoring of Mass Activity Runs)

Hi,
 
We are using workflows and EMMA modules in IS-U 4.72. Sometime it's
difficult to know if we should take EMMA or develop a workflow for simple
case.
 
The questions are
- What are the advantages and disadvantages of each tool.
- In which cases should we use EMMA or a workflow.
