hyperlink to URL

Hi - I've just been through the grief of putting a URL on an email
notification, so I thought I'd give you my 2c.=20

The theory is 132 is the maximum URL length achieved by passing this
value to the method SENDTASKDESCRIPTION using the container element
LINEWIDTH (assuming that's the method you are using) - however, I
couldn't get this to work.=20

You will also have problems if you are passing more than one parameter
in the URL string because the SAPScript editor interprets anything
enclosed in &s as a field reference, I managed to get around this
problem by storing each parameter in a separate container element and
referencing the container element in the editor. Because the URL was
static (parameter string was not dynamic) I set up a page with a
redirect to the page I was trying to reference and put the URL to my
redirect page in the email

You can find a fair bit of info on this topic by using the WUG search
page http://www.wugarchive.com/ - look for URL...

Cheers john

Peter,

How would you place a Link that's around 200 chars long, to go to
Outlook? Also, is there a way to create a Hyperlink in SAP so the icon
or one word doesn't show the link (just in the background??

Thanx,
