Paul,

It worked OK in our 4.6C and XP, too. It was more useful for us the same
method but using the variant 'Output Options' -> 'Clipboard' -> 'Print' and
then paste to my word spec.

Regards,

Cristian

Subject: capturing the workflow graphic

Hi Wug-ers,

There was a discussion recently about the difficulties of capturing the
Workflow graphic in a Tech Spec.

I tried it with the standard tools and (to my great surprise) had no
problems. Perhaps there is
new functionality in our current R/3 version (4.7 with Basis 6.20). I
am
also using Windows XP.

The steps are as follows:

Transaction SWDD
Workflow > Print > Graphic (this starts a preview screen)
Click on 'Output Options', then choose 'File', then 'as Windows
Metafile'.
This saves a .wmf file. (Windows Metafile)

In the Technical Spec (a Word document), choose Insert > Object > Create
>From File
Click 'Display As Icon'. Select the file you created.

This inserts the .wmf file into the Word doc as an icon. If you
doubleclick on it, it should start the 'Windows Picture and Fax Viewer'
(the same viewer used for photos on Windows XP) and you can zoom in
for as much detail as you can handle.

merry new year,
Paul from Brisbane
