Sending emails to External email Clients like Outlook or Lotus Notes from SAP

G'day Amit,
 
Basis needs to configure SAP CONNECT. Check whether you can send a mail
straight from the SAP office  to an external address before playing around
with the function call.
 
The send out is also based on a back ground job. Transaction SCOT gives an
overview of waiting mails and allows you to execute the outbound job
directly - Utilities > Start Send Process.  You can also link to
transaction SOST (Utilities > overview of send orders) for details of sent
items.

Hi,
 
I am using function module "SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1", for sending an
email
from SAP to external mail client Microsoft Outlook. The mail is stuck in my
SAP outbox with comment "Wait for communications service". I think there
are
some basis settings that needs to be carried out before we can achieve
this.
Does anyone has any idea regarding this?
