Availability of extended notification functionality?

The option for using infotype 105 is in 6.40 WAS systems and above only.
If you are putting in RSWUWFML2 in an earlier release, you will either need to modify the program to retrieve the email address from 105, or else create a batch program or similar to update the user master from infotype 105 e.g. using BAPI_EMPLCOMM_GETLIST/GETDETAIL and BAPI_USER_CHANGE.

I am in the process trying to setup extended notifications for the client.  Is it a requirement that the internet email address that the workflow notifications will be sent to be mainttained in SU01 (or Business Workplace automatic forwarding) or can it be maintained under the appriate subtype under Infotype 105 in HR.  In other words, will the workflow extended notification report be smart enough to look into Infotype 105 as an alternative to the email address in SU01.

        The program to use is RSWUWFML2.  It's available as standard in 4.7 and as a download for 4.6 systems. The config transaction you mention is relevant to 6.40 and above only.
 
        Look in OSS/service.sap.com using component BC-BMT-WFM-NOT for more OSS notes explaining how to use it and what it does.

        We are on 4.7 Enterprise with a Basis release of 6.2.  Extended
        notifications configuration refers to t-code SWNCONFIG which does not
