Portal: SAP office mail and UWL

No answers from me, but I think you may have opened a can of worms....
Amongst other reasons, this is one factor affecting a decision here not t=
o
use SAP mails at all (before my time). Though I had my reservations, this
has worked surprisingly well - it's a tradeoff between increased effort t=
o
do simple notifications/mails (deadlines are a PITA), and the simplicity =
of
using only the UWL for everything.
On a related note, another issue I have with UWL is that WI texts are all
but obsolete. The only way to see the WI text is to click on the little
glasses icon next to the title, which is much less obvious for a user tha=
n
clicking on the thing-that-looks-like-a-link. So, often I find myself ask=
ing
what the point is of putting all kinds of useful info into a WI text. I'd
welcome any comments on that...
