Ending Woritems older than a specified date

Hi Workflowers,
 
I=B4ve a problem with created workitems.
The WF_Inititator receives an ending notification for his workflow,
at the same time a notification for the Initiators superior is created.
Due to the superiors receiving a lot of notifications, they wish to=20
automatically execute or delete notificatiions older than a specific =
date
from their inboxes.
any possibility given to achieve this via abap?
