Attaching an URL to workitem description

Subra,
 
There's a menu item that you can enter a URL. I believe it's under the
Insert menu but don't remember which option it is from there. I'm not at
work at the moment to look it up and don't remember which item it is.
It'll be clear which one it is when you look.
 
You could also enter the URL via the line editor with format /*. Just
switch the editor mode once you go into change description. Keep in mind
that it is easier to accomplish it through the menu.

Does some one know how to add a web link in the work
item description.
I tried in general the following :

but it did not work..
 
Also is there a way to lookup the messages of this
group by going into some of the archives ?
