Thanks Alon.
That works a treat.

I have also found SAP_WAPI_WORKITEMS_TO_OBJECT.

Use FM CHECK_OBJECT_IN_WF in a Check Function Module to ensure that the
workflow is only triggered once.

Subject: Workflow Triggering

Hello All,
I have been asked to develop a workflow that can be triggered when a status
is set on a Project.
However, it can be on one of two different statuses, and if the workflow has
already been triggered previously by one of the statuses, when the other
status is set, the workflow should not trigger.

On some occasions both statuses at different times can be set.
On other occasions only one of the statuses will ever be set.

Therefore if a workflow has already been triggered, the other status change
should not be triggered for the same Project.

Has anyone had to do this before and if so how did you achieve it ?

Many Thanks
David
