Escalation at task Latest end date (Deadline monitoring)

Using tasks within PM Service notifications our company wants to inform
employees of outstanding notification tasks for action via work flow.
Based on a notification task code and notification priority the business
would like to define deadline monitoring and escalation (3 levels).
 
We have a requirment to escalate (inform a superior person/ position)
if/when Workflow task creation date +x is reached, if/when Workflow task
creation date +y is reached and if/when Workflow task creation date +z is
reached.
 
I assume a modeled deadline should be used, but do I need to define a
separate task and modeled deadline for each Notification task code and
priority combination ?.
